It was a cold, wet November morning in 2005. The rain was gently trickling down the window pane. The Autumnal leaves creating a misty golden-orange-brown hue in the background. The open fire was crackling gently and a slight fragrance of woodsmoke was filling the room. As Tory glanced out of her home office window, she put one hand gently on her growing baby bump and knew instinctively she needed to create CHANGE.

She wanted a business that she could fit around her new family, AND she deeply believed she could help owners of growing businesses far beyond just filing tax returns. Because she knew that the business advisory services available to large corporates were not being provided to the smaller companies that she saw all around her in the local business community.

Far too many accountants were just looking backwards at the previous year, filing company accounts and doing tax calculations. This was leaving business owners in the dark and feeling out of control of their financials. It also meant they were struggling to make strategic decisions about their business future and missing out on opportunities. This wasn’t right! She had to do something.

Panthera Accounting’s new MISSION was born… and so was Tory’s eldest daughter a few months later!
