KMB & Associates began with a simple conversation between a father and daughter. During my A-levels, I found myself unchallenged and searching for direction. When I confided in my dad about feeling unstimulated by my studies, he asked a question that changed everything: “Why don’t you become an accountant?” That moment lit a spark – I knew I’d found my calling.

I pursued Business Management with Finance at University Campus Suffolk, then took on the challenge of qualifying as a Chartered Certified Accountant through self-study. Thirteen years of experience followed, including extensive training and client management roles, where I developed a deep understanding of what businesses truly need from their financial advisors.

Throughout my career, I witnessed an industry stuck in outdated practices – endless timesheets, hourly billing that shocked clients, and a focus on time rather than value. I knew there had to be a better way. In May 2024, I took a leap of faith and founded KMB & Associates with a clear mission: to provide transparent, fixed-fee accounting services that put client success first.

Starting KMB meant working late into the night after my children were asleep, balancing the demands of building a business whilst raising two young children as a mother. What began at my kitchen table soon outgrew the home environment – the needs of my growing client base and my family meant finding dedicated office space became essential.
